This project seeks to assess the new Systems Engineering distance learning module to capture the staff and student perspective and thereby to extend good practice to enhance other teaching elements.

The project objectives are to:

  • 1. Evaluate ELP660 from the perspective of: Participating Students, Module Leaders/Specialist Lecturers, Module Helpers, Fee payers (employers)
  • 2. Capture the lessons learned about developing and running an effective Distance Learning Module.

Telephone interviews have been conducted with 11 students from the module. Semi Structured Interviews with with module leaders and helpers have also been undertaken.

Based upon the findings of the research, two reports have been produced to help enhance the second iteration of the module. Report: Findings of Telephone interviews with ELP660 Students Report: ELP660 Distance Learning Module Review: Recommendations and Issues for Consideration.
