Reported over-assessment and bunching is investigated, with a particular focus on breadth of variability in assessment demands.

Members of staff in CBE have investigated reports of over assessment and bunching of assessments with a specific focus on the parity across different assessments.

CEDE have collated details of assessments regarding percentage of module, types of assessment and length of examinations, for all MEng modules on Civil Engineering courses at two UK universities. Modules in another engineering school at Loughborough University have also been collated. All findings have now been given to CBE staff.
